Vision 32
Vision 32 is a Vision Goal that our church adopted that sets some incredible goals between now and 2032. There are a wide range of goals associated with Vision 32 with one of the main pieces being a new worship center.
Through Vision 32, we are asking God to do what only He can do. Over the course of this eight-year vision, we are praying and believing for :
Through Vision 32, we are asking God to do what only He can do. Over the course of this eight-year vision, we are praying and believing for :
- An average worship attendance of 2,200 people
- More than 1,000 baptisms
- $5 million given to missions and ministry causes beyond our church
These are not merely organizational goals. They represent transformed lives, restored families, new believers, and eternal impact.
"One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts".
Psalm 145:4

Why Now?
God has blessed First Ruston in extraordinary ways. Today, we currently hold four worship services each week because we are out of worship space. While we praise God for the growth He has given, we also recognize the urgency before us. If we delay, we risk limiting our ability to reach new people and minister effectively to those God is already bringing. The need is real, and the opportunity is now.

The Vision
This new worship center is being designed to serve both the church and the community for decades to come. With a flat-floor design, the facility will provide flexibility for worship gatherings, ministry events, conferences, community gatherings, and outreach opportunities.

The Impact
Over the course of this eight-year vision, we are praying and believing for :
- An average worship attendance of 2,200 people
- More than 1,000 baptisms
- $5 million given to missions and ministry causes beyond our church

Our Commitment
We recognize that a vision of this magnitude comes with challenges. Above all else, we want to remain fully surrendered to the will of God. Financial stewardship, spiritual unity, and wise leadership are all critical as we move forward.

Pledge Sunday
November 15th
A time for us to come together as one body, seek God in prayer, and ask Him to guide our hearts as we prepare for Pledge Sunday. We will pray for His wisdom, provision, and direction, trusting Him to lead each of us in what He is calling us to give.
This is more than a pledge—it is an opportunity to obey God, trust His provision, and sacrificially give toward the work He has placed before us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do we need a new Worship Center?
First Ruston has experienced 4% to 5% growth since at least 2018, except for the COVID year. If this growth continues, our current seating capacity will be inadequate by 2032.
In addition, our present Worship Center is 61 years old, and it is not economically feasible to enlarge it. During the school year, our 11:00 a.m. service consistently runs at more than 92% capacity. We currently offer four Sunday morning services.
For these reasons, a new, larger Worship Center is truly needed.

Do we have a master plan for Kids Worship, Kids classrooms, Adult Connection Groups, and Students?
Yes. We currently have a general master plan developed with our architects.
We have collected and examined historical data that confirms steady growth over several years. By combining this information with our knowledge of our current facility needs, we have determined that additional worship space is our most pressing priority.
We also recognize the need for a larger Kids Worship area and additional classroom space. We have made tentative plans to address these needs following completion of the new Worship Center.

Can I give my regular tithe and offerings to the Make Room campaign instead?
First Ruston’s continuing ability to effectively minister depends upon our regular tithes and offerings. Therefore, we ask that you do not divert or decrease your usual giving.
Giving to Make Room should be above and beyond your normal giving.

What if I can’t afford to give much?
We are asking everyone to pray earnestly and seek the Lord regarding the sacrificial gift He would have them give. Please listen and obey as the Lord leads.
No gift is too small. We recognize that our gifts will not be equal in size, but every gift is needed. Each of us can give sacrificially when we faithfully follow the Lord’s direction.

Is there a way for me to give non-cash gifts?
Yes. We recognize that non-cash giving may be a better option for some people. Gifts such as stocks, bonds, and real estate are acceptable.
Please contact the church office at 318-255-4628 for more information about giving non-cash gifts.

Do I have to give a one-time gift, or can I give over time?
Each of us has a unique financial situation. We encourage you to tailor your sacrificial gift to best fit your circumstances over the three-year commitment.
However, gifts given earlier will help us reach our $5.5 million cash-in-hand goal sooner.

What will it take for us to achieve our goal?
After much discussion and prayer, our Vision 32 team believes we can initiate the building phase of our program when we have $5.5 million in hand, along with an additional $7 million in pledges.
How can I get more information about the Make Room campaign?
Any Vision 32 team member should be prepared to help answer your questions or help you find the information you need.
There will also be a four-part sermon series beginning October 25.
